Teenagers between the ages of 12 and 19 now have access to, and can discuss, a catalog of European films on this newly launched platform

The European Film Club, a co-creation of the European Film Academy and young people from 25 countries, was launched this weekend across Europe, with the support of Creative Europe MEDIA.

The European Film Club, which has been developing for several years, is a social platform for watching and discussing European films. It offers a carefully curated catalog of European films, easily accessible to teenagers aged 12 to 19. This initiative builds on the success and experience of the Young Audience Award of the European Film Academy (since 2012), and provides access to young people throughout the year to continue their journey into the world of European cinema. After working on the prototype, the project is now ready to be launched across Europe.

"We want to give young people the freedom to explore the wealth of European film and culture." The young audience is very important to the European Film Academy and it is very inspiring to see how many young Europeans have a strong appetite to learn about films from Europe."Matthias Wouter Knoll, director of the European Film Academy
